Herman Dune

HERMAN DUNE 'Next year In Zion' The new album by notorious underground band Herman D"une is 'Next year In Zion'.

Now under the wing of a new French label Source Etc. (rest of Europe City Slang) they have been able to indulge some long-held sound-production/arrangement fantasies. With a brand-new percussion line-up, the vintage sound of an actual Bourbon 'horns & brass' section, and the vocal support of girl-group The Woo-Woos (Lisa Li-Lund & The New York Babyskins), Herman D"une's songwriting skills sparkle more than ever before. 'Next year In Zion' was recorded live in a studio in Vega Studio ( South of France), famous for its console used by the Rolling Stones in the 70's to record two albums while owned by Path'e Marconi studios in Paris.

The Herman D"une family has roots in Sweden, France and New York. The brothers David-Ivar ('Ya Ya') - guitar, bass & vocals and Andr'e - guitar, sax & vocals - have played together since early chidhood with N'eman on drums and recent addition, younger sister Lisa, backing vocals. They now live variously in Berlin, New York & Paris and gather to tour and record as often as possible. Herman D"une have released several albums since their inception in 2000, the most recent being the widely acclaimed "Giant". They have played all over the world, to ever-expanding crowds. UK press coverage has always been consistently excellent and they have had a lot of radio support here mostly from John Peel (12 Sessions in all). The album brims with poetry, melody and groove and you can really feel the fun they had making it.
